Peppino is seven years old and lives in what today would be called a dysfunctional family. His mother Rosaria goes into depression after discovering that her husband is having an affair. Peppino is adopted by his aunt and uncle in their twenties who lead him around the Swinging Naples, between parties in basements, feminist groups, Greek communities dancing in the streets.
