Event Description : 'Ten Years With Guru Dutt: Abrar Alvi`s Journey' a play based on the legend's life. 
The book Ten Years With Guru Dutt: AbrarAlvi`s Journey by Sathya Saran traces some never before exposed moments in the tumultuous and prolific career of one of Indias iconoclastic filmmakers, Guru Dutt; through the eyes of his close friend, confidante, scriptwriter, Abrar Alvi. To attempt a comprehensive account of Guru Dutts development is beyond the scope of a one and a half hour play. Hence, the presentation focuses on six stories behind some of Indias greatest cinema that highlight Abrar Alvis relationship with Guru Dutt, his contributions to Guru Dutt films and Dutts way of working. The play is a tribute to Abrar Alvi and Guru Dutt in equal measure.
