Event Description : Delhi Tourism & Dastkar present 'Winter Weaves' exhibition-cum-sale of hand-woven traditional silks and wools. 

On sale will be exquisite kantha, sozni, and crewel embroidery from Kashmir and Bengal, Bhujodi shawls and stoles, bandini and mirrorwork from Kutch, dramatic vegetable-dyed tussar saris from Bhagalpur and Chhatisgarh, subtly shaded shawls and stoles from Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, classic Uttar Pradesh Banarsi jamdanis & ikats, Gadhwals and Uppadas from Orissa & Andhra Pradesh. Showcased too will be the beautiful suf embroidery of master craftswoman Dayaben, felted namdas from Kashmir & stunning contemporary durries from Rajasthan, & the whimsical charm of Bihari sujni narrative spreads and soft furnishings.
Complementing the beautiful textiles on sale will be Sunaina Suneja's exhibition on Gandhi - 'Bapu Through the Eyes of Craftspeople', accompanied by Khadi spinning demonstrations on charkas and taklis. 
Unmissable too is Tushar Kumar's range of Felted Cashmere stoles and scarves which Hermes Regional Director, Bertrand Michaud called 'a perfect example of what we should do in order to achieve excellence'. 
Kutch will have a special presence with over 12 craftsgroups showcasing the amazing variety of textiles of this region. 
The textiles, soft furnishings and accessories developed by Dastkar under the ACCOR project will also be available. 
And Himachal Pradesh's Kuvi Nati folk dance performances will provide a vibrant ambience alongside shawl weaving and tussar spinning demonstrations.  
Regional food stalls will also be there.
