Event Description : 'Cuatro Culturas' A two day cultural meet between India and Latin America through music and dance.
This festival celebrates the union between countries that share an ancestral cultural patrimony that has evolved in different directions. The colorful rhythms and melodies of different wind and string instruments and percussions, as well as the richness in detail that body can express through mudras, steps and spins, are a taste of the great human warmness and spirituality that the various cultures of the world posses.
With musicians from Perú, India and other countries, as well as dancers from Colombia and Mexico, Nathalie Ramírez and Carolina Prada, in collaboration with the Embassies of Mexico, Peru and Cervantes Institute, present a two days program with performances of traditional music and dances from India, Mexico, Peru and Colombia. This program intends to start a dialogue between countries through the performing arts and promote India's cultural heritage with Spanish speakers in Delhi and at the same time Latin American culture to all public in India.
The program for December 13th:
Odissi Dance (India), Hindustani Music, Peruvian Music, Colombian Music and dance.
Program for December 15th:
Prehispanic Dance and Music from Mexico, Peruvian Music, Son Jarocho music, Mayurbhanj Chhau Dance (India).
Dancers: Carolina Prada, Lina Dìaz, Marcela Londoño and Ania Pieniek.
Musicians: Nathalie Ramirez, Willy Terrones, Nikhil Mawkin, Shikhar Prasad, Asya Shemyakina, Pablo Grace, Ashish Chauhan
