Background : The Urdu Academy, Delhi was established in 1981 under Govt. of NCT of Delhi for promotion & propagation of Urdu language and to develop the composite lingual culture of Delhi. It has a glorious record of about 30 years of in the field of Urdu Literature, Language and organized numerable programmes during the past years to promote Composite Lingual Culture.
And the Department of Art, Culture and Languages, Government of Delhi has been entrusted with the responsibility of conducting cultural events in “Urdu Heritage Festival during Delhi Celebrates 2012”.
