Arun Chadha| PSBT| 56 min| English
The sexuality of people with disabilities is often marred with misconceptions, prejudices and myths. The film delves into the lives of a few people with disabilities as they explore their sexual identities, within themselves and through relationships. The narrative follows their journeys as they negotiate widely-held biological, medical, social and cultural beliefs and try to claim their sexual rights as individuals with varying physical disabilities. The film attempts to deconstruct the disability and sexuality debate through personal voices and choices they have made as they come to terms with their physical and sexual selves.
Also pick up a range of personal goods and gifts made by community women from across India, Christmas and New Year cards too, all available at the Gestures stall. Make a selection from a diverse collection of documentaries; development, human rights & environment related books; and resistance music, available at the Docushop! Your last chance in 2012!!!
About Kriti Film Club
This is an educational and research oriented initiative of Kriti: a development research,
praxis and communication team, screening documentaries since the year 2000. We offer an
independently financed and informal space for screening documentary films on a whole
range of social, development, human rights & environment issues. The whole idea of
the KRITI Film Club is to place thought- provoking cinema in a discussion group that will
help to deepen understanding on these issues amongst viewers and film-makers. We also
serve as a borrowing & distribution space for documentary films from India and
