Come become a part of the creative process that evolves when story tellers animate their fears, beliefs, dreams and imaginations alongside listeners of all ages. Stories will be told through puppetry, poetry, music, written and oral traditions of all kinds. Audiences will be given the opportunity to create and share their stories and explore the various tools of story-telling; narration, writing, animation and traditional forms of illustration. Personal stories will be explored and shared through festival workshops.
An opportunity for children to express, find their voice, explore, play and dance with performers providing a unique immersive experience, where the audience can become part of this visually beautiful journey.
Kahaani festival is presented by Teamwork Productions in association with Pathways
School and Pratham Books.

Says Sanjoy Roy of Teamwork Productions, “ Kahani festival has been created as a platform to preserve and explore our oral traditions. In recent times story tellers in India including Danish and M Farooqui have helped restore the lost tradition of dastangoi. Story tellers can transport you in to other worlds and in association with Pratham Books we hope to reach young people in Government and private schools. Our relationship with Virtuous retail will allow us to access a large number of cities beginning with Delhi and Surat. In future years we hope to bring story tellers from
across the world including Gcina Mschlope, Lebo Matshile, Arthur Flowers, Cat Wetherskill, Jan Blake among others”.
