The Shishya: Aishwarya Sivaramakrishnan
Aishwarya Sivaramakrishnan was initiated into the world of classical dance at the tender age of seven. Her innate interest in dance was spotted by her parents when she as a child started performing to the tune of television music. She then joined the temple of art, Yamini School of Dance and started practicing under the guidance of her Guru Dr. Yamini Krishnamurti, one of the greatest exponents of Bharatanatyam dance. The last 11 years have seen Aishwarya performing this art with dedication, passion and devotion. Her expression and grace reflect that she has perfected the nuances of this dance form. Aishwarya considers it a blessing to have learnt Bharatanatyam from her Guru Dr.Yamini Krishnamurti.

A brilliant student in academics, Aishwarya has secured a CGPA of 9.4 in her Class-X and 91.5 per cent in her Class-XII and is currently pursuing her Degree in Commerce from Dyal Singh College under Delhi University. Quite active in drama, she is also a member of her college’s theatre society ‘Astitva’. Aishwarya had participated in many events and competitions in her school days too. Though dance is her first love, she also draws immense pleasure from choreography.
