Event Details : 'Ruh-e-Ghazal' Jagjit Singh's Journey of Ghazals with Zulfiqar Khan Saabri in aids of SERIHCHI Society of Educational and Research Institute of Humanity and the Cultural Heritage of India (Regd.)
About Artist : Zulfiqar Khan is known as Junior Jagjit Singh in the Industry. His voice modulation is absolutely mirror reflection of Jajit Singh ji. He gave his first concert in 1987 when he was barely 22, he started by singing ghazals of Mehendi Hasan Sahab, But over the years wherever Sabri has sung it is hard to believe for audience the similarity between his voice and that of late Jagjit singh. Aware of the similarity between his and late Jagjit Singhs voice, Sabri knows that know, since the master is no more, there is lot of responsibility on his shoulders.
· "Safar mein Dhoop to bogi, jo chal sako to chalo, sabhi hain bheed mein, tum nikal sako toh chalo" He apply these words from a ghazal of Nida Fazli in his life.
· Zulfikar Ahmed Khan, born 29th April 1963, shows true and amazingly powerful colors of his ustad. Ustad Abdul Aziz, grandson of late Shri Bade Ghulam Ali Khan - one of the main exponent of the Patiala Gharana. And 2nd Ustaad Fareed Ahmed Khan from Kirana Gharana learning to classical music thumri and Ghazal. Hailing from family full of lawyers and advocates, Zulfikar whilst dreaming of being a pilot gave into this real passion music.
· His ecstatic love for music was encouraged by his family, specially his elder brother. And Mother he has sung and has grown up listening to Indian Classical music and Ghazals of Mehandi Hassan Saheb and Jagjit Singh Ji. Being a passionate listener the never missed and opportunity to listen and learn from Ghazals and Sufiana Songs.
