15th September : Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron (1983/143mins)
Dir. : Kundan Shah. Cast:Naseeruddin Shah, Ravi Vaswan, Satish Shah, Om Puri. Photographers Vinod and Sudhir are trying to start a photo studio. The first real assignment that they get, from the activist magazine Khabardar draws them into the shady world of Bombay real estate.

Cast: Naseeruddin Shah, Anupam Kher, Shabana Azmi.
Phirojshah and Pestonjee are close friends and attempt to do everything together. They hope to marry the same day as well. Unfortunately, both go to see the same young lady, Jeroo but Pestonjee is married to Jeroo. Phirojshah has been stricken by Jeroo's beauty and decides not to marry, and takes a transfer away from the couple. During the years, he keeps in touch with the couple by mail. While on a visit to the couple, he finds out that Pestonjee has a mistress, and Jeroo does not know of this.

Cast: Vijaya Mehta, Manohar Singh,Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah and Rohini Hattangadi.
Based on the play Party (1976) by Mahesh Elkunchwar the film is shot over an evening party hosted by an art connoisseur. The film is a satire aimed at the urban elite.

The films at Epicentre, Gurgaon on 15th an 16th September were a nice viewing pleasure.
