Event Details : Stiff Kittens Inc presents 'THE JASS HOLE' - a monthly evening presenting the very best of degenerate performance.

Hot on the heels of their storming set at Stiff Kittens Inc's SKA! SKA! SKA! at the BlueFROG last weekend, we present GANDU CIRCUS, an electro punk rap outfit from Kolkatta. Performing also will be unjazz outfit, THE JASS B'STARDS. The two groups will then come together to produce what is expected to be unholy clamour under the somewhat predictable moniker, GANDU B'STARDS winding up with a DJ set by FLEXI K.

GANDU CIRCUS

The movie ‘Gandu’ was made by Bengali director Q in 2010. The music of the film was produced by Neel Adhikari’s band ‘Five Little Indians’. The film has garnered much praise at several European and American festivals. Since there was a growing demand to hear the music from the film a fresh outfit was formed featuring Q (vocals) and Neel (guitars). Jiver Singh joined Gandu Circus in February 2012 to create additional electronic grooves played live using a variety of software and hardware.

All Gandu Circus tracks have accompanying visuals produced by Q that are projected at performances.

'The Jass B’stards have mad improvs, onstage quirks and energy. I loved their Ska Vengers set at NH7, with Delhi Sultanate and Samara. It was superbly versatile. I can sit right through their show till the very end, just for the chance of catching a drink with them; they seem like fun people.
