Menwhopause is a four-member band from New Delhi, India known for being one of the first bands in India to distribute their music for free over the internet. Their first EP called 'The story begins...' was released online as a free download in 2003.
The band has toured the USA twice with an appearance at SxSW 2007, Austin, Texas and a full-fledged tour of Texas.  The band won the 2008 Jack Daniels' Best Band of the Year award and got an opportunity to work with REM’s producer Dave Barbe.
The second album ‘Easy’ was first recorded in a campsite in Uttaranchal after which it took the band four years to re-record and produce the album. Having signed up with EMI-Virgin Records India in 2009, ‘Easy’ was menwhopause’s major label debut with a team that included Miti Adhikari (Radiohead, Nirvana...) and Richard Dodd (Kings of Leon, Tom Petty...).
'Easy' is available in all major stores across India as well as on amazon and iTunes. The band toured Europe in June 2012 with the support of ICCR (Indian Centre for Cultural Relations) playing sold out shows in Tallinn (Estonia), Oslo (Norway) and Paris (France).

Jehu Mulobo Mandjoko  on lead guitar will be accompanied by Cedrick Kaneba on vocals and Saarthak on percussion.   Performing mostly in Lingala, a Bantu dialect, with some tracks in French and English, their repertoire includes reggae, jazz and Congolese rumba tunes.
Congolese rumba is locally called soukous, a word derived from the French word “secousse” or “shake”.
For international audiences, Congolese music is synonymous with Congolese rumba. Most Central Africans first encountered Afro-Cuban music in the late ’30s and early ’40s. Congolese musicians fused Afro-Cuban rhythms with their traditional music, and soukous was born. Antoine Kolosoy, aka Papa Wendo, was one of the earliest stars, and by the ’50s big bands became the preferred format – with acoustic bass, electric guitars, a variety of percussion, clarinet, flute, sax and trumpet.
Influenced by the great Congolese musicians from the late ’60s and ’70s emboldened by the exuberance of Rock ’n’ Roll, Jehu’s compositions have blues and jazz elements with croony lyrics which lend to a latin dancey vibe. Pioneered by Papa Wemba and his group Zaiko Langa Langa, who tried to downplay rumba elements, their Soukous is vibrant.

Jehu is also a member of the increasingly popular Congleses Rumba group RIO DES DJIKAS.
After a terrible civil war in the late ’90s, political and social instability in the Democratic Republic of Congo prompted an exodus of Congolese youth – many of them to India. Kane Kanema, for instance, arrived from Kinshasa to study at Delhi University. He said there were about a thousand others like him in the city. Last year, seven of them decided to form a band, Rio Des Djika. “Rio de Janeiro is known for its parties,” said Kanema, the band’s manager. “Djika is a Congolese word, which means ‘people who have travelled’. So the name of the band stands for party of djikas or music of djikas.”
