6th July : 6:00 pm - Inauguration will be graced by Celebrity novelist and founder of the Jaipur Literary Festival, Namita Gokhale,.and famous Curator-Artist Srimati Lal, two lovely talented ladies who will commune with the guests along with the gifted American-trained Photo-Artist Jit Kumar.  
There will be a discussion on 'Processes of Creativity and Genius' over fine wines, canapes and piano music. The Galaxy Inaugural Party will be as lively and glittering as always.

Event Details : 'Mysteries & Meditations' Exhibition of Photographic Art by Jit Kumar. 
This cutting-edge photographic exhibition, MYSTERIES AND MEDITATIONS, on display for the month of July, promises to be a visual treat for all lovers of the camera image. Presenting 20 glowing examples of Jit Kumar's photographic artistry --- both in vivid colour and dramatic black and white --- this amazing photo-art collection, focussing on Beauty and Silence, expresses great intensity, lyricism and emotion.

The Photograph as Fine Art has by now become an essential facet of serious Gallery displays, since a creatively-visualised photograph can become an eternal creative statement, just as a painting, sculpture or installation does. The lensman does not use a brush or paints; he employs his inner eye, intellect, mind, and steady hand to manipulate a machine in capturing the Maya of reality, thus creating Art. 
Photography as a serious discipline is now taught at all leading Art Colleges of the world. Jit Kumar was exposed to the best of this training in America, where he grew up and studied Liberal Arts in the 1970's to 80's. However, Jit's creative odyssey across two continents was not predictable. Many twists and surprises occurred as he devoted himself completely to the still, silent image.
