Bringing his unique world view to the Blue Frog stage we are very excited to welcome back Gautam Ghosh and his collective of musicians. Drawing from numerous musical genres across the world Gautam brings these influences together combining them seamlessly into what he calls "instant glocal jazz". We hope you will join us for an evening of improvisation, fusion and musical alchemy!
The immensely gifted, multi-tasking trio Gautam Ghosh COLLECTIVE ("GGC") is a critically acclaimed "bond" with the philosophy of "World Sans Differences". Its unique style and "real time creativity" has carved out a new sonic vocabulary that is globally inclusive and plural in all aspects of culture and expression with over 150 odd instruments from all over the planet!
It’s the way forward to establish the noble ideals of their "ONENESS!" vision statement. MUSIC COOKED HOT ON THE SPOT is their USP and hallmark!
They are a high-energy free-form impromptu jazz based world music trio with 6 successful albums and a docu-dvd to their credit. Audio albums "2" & "3!!!" are available on-line. They are currently compiling their music album "SEVEN" which will be launched on the G.O.D. 2012 annual concert.
This "bond" features:
VIKAS GAUTAM - Principal Soloist. Saxophones (alto & soprano), Metal Flutes, Conch & Soft Percussions. Has played in the Gulf region based out of Dubai for many years and is in great demand in Bollywood sessions as well.
SIDDHARTH DAS - Tech Head. Sarod, Drums, Synth, Percussions & Loop Programming. Son of the famous sitarist Pandit Partho Das, he is a regular with the legendary kathak dancer Pandit Birju Maharaj and tours worldwide as an ICCR performer as well.
GAUTAM GHOSH - Founder & Creative Head. Keyboards, Synths, Vocals & Abstract Voicings, Tribal Percussions & Ethnic Instruments, Instant Lyrics, Loop-Composing, "Real-time" Music Direction.
