It is the year 1996.A small Korean town is undergoing a large-scale construction in preparation forthe Winter Olympics bid. In the middle of the construction, the local committeereceives a report that they do not have sufficient athletes to compete. Theydecide to form a ski jump team in order to represent the event.

Located on the southeast tip of the Korean peninsula is theinternational city of Busan, and a popular vacation spot on the East Sea coast,Haeundae draws one million visitors to its beaches every year. Man-sik, anative of Haeundae, lost a co-worker to a tsunami on a deep-sea fishing tripfour years ago. He has never returned to sea ever since. Till the day the seacomes back to haunt him.
