Come find your inner clown! Wear the clown nose, the smallest mask in the world that will unmask you, to re-discover yourself and make friends with that inner self that lets you be.
Improvise, let your body do the talking, sing, dance, tell stories....be a fool.
Clowning is not only about putting a funny mask and playing funny tricks, but is about traveling through oneself and searching for one’s authenticity.The clown’s red nose, the smallest mask in the world, is the mask that unmasks. It unmask’s the clown within ourselves, in the core of our personality.
The clown makes itself vulnerable, attempts the impossible and lives passionately.
The process of the workshop will involve self exploration and introspection through improvisations, body work, storytelling and conversations. The skill of clowning focuses on learning to accept oneself and others around beyond stereotypes; on understanding our body and its language/movement and in all of this on tapping into our sense of humour, because we believe that the world takes itself too seriously.
Purple Mangoes is a collective of facilitators. We believe that there are ways of learning, working and being which are co-operative rather than competitive; inclusive and engaging rather than disconnected. Purple Mangoes is an effort to create the spaces for such being, and such learning opportunities more available.
