Event Details : Italian Embassy Cultural Institute presents Jazz Concert : Paolo Fresu Quintet. To mark the 10th Anniversary of Instituto Italiano Di Cultura in Chanakyapuri.

PAOLO FRESU QUINTET was formed in 1984 by Paolo Fresu and Roberto Cipelli and reached its present formation in 1985. The Quintet has the distinction of being one of the best Italian jazz groups. In 1990 Paolo Fresu won the "Top Jazz" prize as best Italian musician and the "Paolo Fresu Quintet" were judged best Italian Jazz performers by the specialized magazine “Jazz Music”. The Quintet was also awarded the Arrigo Polillo Prize for the best record "Live in Montpellier". Every subsequent year their own recording productions have been topping the charts.
Paolo Fresu has rendered over 2500 concerts and has cut over 280 records and has won multiple awards. Since 1988 he directs the International Festival “Time in Jazz” of Berchidda (Sargenia).
