Event Details : "Face to face. Encounters with diversity" Exhibition.
Synopsis: A journey through the Asian continent brings us closer to the everyday life moments taken from various Asian women. They are faces that evoke a personal history, moments that bring us closer to their lives and contexts that drop us to the realities they face. This project creates a dialogue between girls and old women from as far away as Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, India, Nepal, Myanmar and Cambodia. Our face to face encounter with these anonymous women makes them the protagonists weaving a feminine mosaic sewn by their condition as women.
Biography : Martí Casas is a Catalan photographer based in India for the last six years with a long career in the field of documentary photography and travel reports focused on the Asian continent. Qualified with an MA in Asia & Pacific Studies at the University of Barcelona, he combines his job as a Spanish teacher with the collaboration in various travel publications and the creation of visual material for NGOs.
