Synopsis: The Hispanic - Peruvian writer Diego Valverde and the Indian Mangalesh Dabral, will discuss on the multiple aspects of the creation and the poetic translation, reciting some of their poems in Spanish and Hindi respectively.
Biographies:
Diego Valverde. Prolific poet and translator of literary works from German, French, Italian and Portuguese into Spanish, by authors such as Conan Doyle, Kipling, Paul Eluard, ETA Hoffmann or Sousa Braga, etc. He has received awards for his poetry work Don't forget my face, published in Huerga y Fierro.
Mangalesh Dabral. Poet, journalist and translator, is in possession of the highest awards of the Indian letters as the Omprakash Smriti Samman (1982), Shrikant Verma Puraskar (1989), Shamsher Samman (1995), and PAHAL Samman (1996). His poetry, written in Hindi, has been translated into English, Russian, German, Polish, Bulgarian and Spanish. As translator he has translated into Hindi writers like Brecht, Ernesto Cardenal, Neruda, or Herman Hesse.
