Attila József (1905-1937) is perhaps the most popular Hungarian poet in India. A number of translations were made of his poetry and students of Hungarian language and literature are captured by the simplicity of his poems and the complexity of his thought. The literary evening connected to the day of poetry 75 years after Attila József’s death is going to take up the Indian reception of the poet.
