Fumio Yano is a young businessman working for a trading house in Tokyo. He is a quiet,  unassuming man in the office and in his private life as well, but when it comes to skiing,  he comes alive and his ability approaches the professional level.

Part of his company's business is promoting a  famous  line of ski wear, and Tayama- a former world champion heads the sales project team and whom Fumio is assisting.

Christmas:    On a skiing trip to Oku-Shiga Heights, Fumio meets and falls in love with a young secretary,  Yu Ikegaini.    It is definitely love at first sight - for him.  His skiing buddies from the old days give him every kind of encouragement,  but he is too awkward to approach the object of his passion. He finally elicits her telephone number, only to find out on his return to Tokyo that it is spurious.

One day he makes a mistake and is called to the managing director' s office. To his great surprise, he meets Yu, who is the private secretary there. And so, the relationship is resumed. But his boss, Tayama,  is planning an important ski wear fashion show, which makes him so busy that he sometimes has to break a date with Yu.

St.  Valentines Day: Fumio and Yu go skiing with a group of friends. Nearby, the fashion show will be held.  But through subversive activities by a rival group,  the clothes fail to arrive. The only hope is the ski wear Fumio and his, friends are wearing.Then follows a frantic time of trying to contact Fumio and his friends and the various problems they have trying to reach the neighboring ski resort to be in time for the press and photographers. Eventually all turns out well and while Fumio and Yu are on stage before the cameras, Yu slips Fumio a package of chocolate,  which is a symbol of her real feelings for him.
