Mayadhar Raut School of Odissi Dance presents "2nd Nrityodaya Festival' Classical Dance Fest for Young professionals" at Lotus Temple, Bahapur, Kalkaji > 6:30pm on 27th & 28th April 2012

The Mayadhar Raut School of Odissi Dance is one of the oldest Odissi institutes in the capital. For over five decades, the school has strived to sustain the tradition of Guru-Shishya Parampara under the guidance of Guru Mayadhar Raut. The school has also done pioneering work in preserving & propagating Indian classical dance forms.
Conceptualized by Odissi exponent Madhumita Raut the 2nd Nrityodaya Festival, to be held in New Delhi, will showcase talent of the new generation of professional dancers who are carrying forward the work of their respective Gurus or Gharanas. The best dancers will be awarded the title of NRITYA JAYANTIKA based upon their previous work and future potential.
Guru Mayadhar Raut believes that all artists are a part of one large stream of Indian culture and heritage inspite of our different styles. Organised in association with the Baha'i House of Worship, under their 'One Ocean' series, the festival is a homage to the 'oneness and divinity' of all dance forms.
