Event Details : Artline and International Furniture Brands showcase an exhibition of Contemporary Indian Artists curated by Ranjana Dani. 
 Artline in collaboration with International Furniture Brands presents an exhibition of contemporary Indian artists in New Delhi, from 30th March to 8th April 2012. Curated by Ranjana Dani, the exhibition showcases the works of four eminent artists who are based in Pune. This curatorial project of Artline showcases a collection of paintings of the higly acclaimed veteran Murli Lahoti, the impactful canvasses of the renowned Bua Shete, the dynamic works of Vijay Dupatre and the sensitive, fantasy laden renderings of artist Nilesh Pawar.
International Furniture Brands, which retails some of the world's finest luxury furniture brands, will display the artworks of these four contemporary Indian artists from Pune collectively for the first time in New Delhi, at their plush store. On display are the works of the nationally acclaimed artist, Murli Lahoti, whose work brilliantly encompasses nature, figurative and abstract, as seen in the series ‘Cosmic Creations’. He has the unique distinction of having held 116 solo shows and being part of 135 group shows. The artist Bua Shete’s work is a play of colors & figuration, intercepted with animal forms and icons on canvas, replete with a vibrant narrative tone woven through the work. His work portrays imprints of his rural upbringing juxtaposed with modern urban values. 
The beauty of the human form in its multifarious serene moods & postures inspired Nilesh Pawar to paint ethereal figures that are the central focus of his work. Metallics add a fantasy element to the canvas. The half tone is a painstaking process of rendering within stencil cuts. Vijay Dupatre’s work is sensitively textured and interestingly scribbled with calligraphic writings, which form a fascinating depth to the larger than life size, strong, figure forms. The Brahmin’ series is an echo of the grandeur of the golden era of a powerful clan which comes through in a vibrant, gold & red color palette. 
The principal art curator of Artline, Ranjana Dani, is a graphic designer who also mentors as design faculty across various reputed design institutes. Since 1995 she has curated several exhibitions that have drawn in new audiences to the visual arts and attracted the attention of seasoned collectors. Artline is an endeavor to showcase ART in all its varied forms. They patronize established artists while creating platforms for promising young talent. Artline has encouraged and commissioned creative expression on varied surfaces other than the conventional canvas, through exhibitions, commissioned canvases, wall art and art on crockery. In terms of curatorial frameworks, Ranjana Dani’s shows have often been a departure from the conventional, showing a willingness to experiment in her collaborations with artists.
