Event Details : Hip-Hop based Contemporary Dance Workshop.
This workshop will explore both physicality and theatricality through elaborate choreography and original dance tunes. Participants will learn Kentaro’s original dance style based on a fusion of street dance and contemporary dance, his dynamic and lyrical movement sequences which show balance between elaborately crafted choreography and improvised elements.
Born in 1980, Kentaro! is one of the most promising young contemporary dancers in Japan.
Kentaro’s dance interpretation originates from hip-hop fused with contemporary dance and drama. His highly original and lyrical performances reflects human relationships or realities of young people living in modern Japanese society.
