Hard Rock Café, which strongly believes in making the world a better place, is launching a global campaign, Imagine There’s No Hunger, with WhyHunger, a non-profit organization, and Yoko Ono Lennon, social activist and wife of late John Lennon, to generate awareness about the millions of hungry children in the world and raise funds to work towards eradicating hunger and poverty.
Hard Rock has introduced a unique way by which patrons will be provided with a sheet, comprising of a list of food items with their prices and quantity. The guests will be asked to fill this sheet and the collections from this activity will be used to buy the food items for a charity in their local city. WhyHunger, a leader in triggering the global movement to end hunger and poverty will be benefitted by the sale of Hard Rock uber cool T shirts bracelets and necklaces that are available at the rock shop at all HRC outlets.
The campaign, whose name was inspired by Lennon’s famous song, Imagine, is dedicated to the HRC’s core value -“All is One”. Jay Singh, Co-Founder and Executive Director, JSM Corporation says, “Hard Rock Café runs plenty of global campaigns every year to raise awareness and funds for the underprivileged. Imagine is one such program. We are delighted to be associated with such a noble cause and help in whatever way we can to break the cycle of hunger and poverty. It is indeed an honor to be working with WhyHunger as ambassadors for the 'Imagine There's No Hunger' campaign. By raising funds for the cause we hope to get a step closer to see people enjoy the most basic of necessities of life.”
