Event Details : Contemporary Art Exhibition by 8 Japanese Artists.
During a three-week residency in Santiniketan, West Bengal, several Japanese contemporary artists are to review these predecessors' ideas, communicating with villagers and tribal people and exchanging their own feelings and aesthetics. They also seek to make their own unique interpretations of the relationship between the environment and arts through art-making and staying with the locals. The results of this project are to be exhibited both at Santiniketan and New Delhi's Japan Foundation.
