Event Details : On the occasion of the exhibition “Goya chronicler of all wars”, the Spanish journalists Alberto Masegosa and Diego Agúndez, as witnesses of many wars, will discuss war’s consequences on civil society.
Alberto Masegosa, is now bureau chief at EFE News Agency in New Delhi and has been correspondent of the same agency in Paris, Mexico, Tunisia, Rabat, Johannesburg, Cairo, New York and Jerusalem. He has worked as a special correspondent covering a dozen wars and he is the author of the following books: "La última frontera" (The last frontier), with Javier Valenzuela, "Días de Guerra" (Days of war), alongside Ángeles Espinosa and Antonio Baquero, "Crónica de un viaje al sur del Sahara" (Report of a trip to the south of Sahara), "Darfur, coordenadas de un desastre" (Darfur, coordinates of a disaster) and "Israel, crónica del país del libro" (Israel, a report on the country of the book). Diego Agúndez has followed closely some of the major armed conflicts of the Indian subcontinent, since 2006: the end of the wars in Nepal and Sri Lanka, Pakistan’s uncertain drift and the derailment of Afghanistan, and, in the Union of India, the cyclical riots in Kashmir,
the Maoist defiance or the ethnic puzzle in the Northeast. He works as a correspondent of EFE and also writes children’s books.
