Its repertoire covers all music styles from baroque, romantic to modern music and crossover projects. Each year, more than 20,000 people attend their concerts in the city of Darmstadt and the vicinity. Since 1996 the orchestra has held the biannual "Musical Autumn" festival, where top international performers, such as the Philharmonic Orchestra London or the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra are invited.
