Schedule :
24th September :
3:30 pm - 6:00 pm at Jai Bharat Cafe : Rs. 300
Horn Ok Please – Our truck art typography workshop was a huge success earlier this year in June. We bring back our artist, Shakeel, from Old Delhi, to recreate the magic on bumper plates this time. Participants will paint bumper plates as an ode to Delhi roads.
3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Jai Bharat Cafe : Rs. 200
Kite Illustration Workshop – Learn to make – all shapes and sizes – and illustrate them under the guidance of grassroots comic artist Manas Baruah. A highly acclaimed workshop and high on the recommendation list. And no, you don't need any illustration background or experience for this one!
3:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Greenhouse : Rs. 400
Time Out! Warli Art Workshop – Warli is an ancient tribal art form from Maharashtra. A vivid expression of daily and social events using simple graphic images, Warli makes for magnificent murals. Learn this art form from our Warli artist and take home beautiful hand-crafted clocks.
7:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Kunzum Travel Cafe : Pay what you Like
Movie Screening – Sita Sings The Blues – Catch this creatively animated twist on the Ramayana with a cup of freshly brewed coffee at Kunzum Travel Cafe.
25th September :
3:30 pm - 6:00 pm at Greehouse : Rs. 350
Madhubani Coaster Making Workshop – An intricate, yet simple art form from Bihar, Madhubani paintings add a colourful flair to knick knacks around the house. Our Madhubani artist, straight from the village of Madhubani, will help you craft a set of 6 wooden coasters in Madhubani art. You'll definitely be handing these masterpieces down for generations!
3:30 pm - 6:00 pm at Flipside Cafe : Rs. 400
Kavad Storytelling – A ancient form of storytelling, a Kavad is like a magic box of stories with layers of hidden stories within it. It is a portable wooden shrine made by the Kavadiya Bhats found in Rajasthan. There are very few Kavad practitioners left, so we strongly recommend this session! You can also make your own Kavad storybook (not of wood, though) for an additional fee of Rs. 150. This is purely optional. Do let us know in advance so we can keep the material ready.
4:00 pm - 6:30 pm at OLayla : Rs. 400
T-shirt Painting Workshop – Hosted by Sidarth, a budding young artist with a social message. Check out his work at – www.toosid.in
