Event Details : CAMERAunLIMITED presents “Disha” photo art exhibition by Ace Photographer Ravi Dhingra, Anubhav Das and Anwita Sarin. It is an image-makers collective whose aim is to develop a creative platform to support a range of camera oriented practices.
As a group ( CAMERAunLIMITED ) the approach is pragmatic yet experimental with a goal of continually challenging the status quo. The first exhibition is named ‘Disha’; a unique initiative by ‘CAMERAunLIMITED’, organizes a week long exhibition of group shows every month, bringing the personal vision of a diverse group of artists to Delhi audiences. The three artists featured in “Disha” are Photographer Ravi Dhingra, Photographer Anubhav Das and Textile Designer Anwita Sarin.
The interest for space, history and a photograph’s relation to time are central themes in the work of these artists and have been presented as an installation, which provides the viewer with a complete sensory experience. Each artist has a distinctive sensibility – the first evocative, etched in time; the second layered and inscribed through time; the third as if distanced and released from time. This exhibition directs our attention to the aura of an image and examines the possibility of telling a story.
