Core Cancer Foundation (CCF) presents "Jagriti 2011" finals of Anti-Tobacco Awareness Campaign at Select Citywalk, Plot #A3, District Centre, Saket > 5pm on 7th May 2011

Event Details : The fight against tobacco has found young ambassadors again. Jagriti 2011, an initiative by Core Cancer Foundation (CCF), brings school children from all over the city to participate in the Anti-Tobacco Awareness Campaign in interesting and thought evoking expressions.
This fortnight long ‘Oust Cancer’ drive spanned across premium schools in Delhi and NCR spreading qualitative awareness against the evils of tobacco in the form of competitive quiz contests. The qualifiers, the
semi finals were full of thrills and twists. Alarming statistics, astonishing facts related to tobacco were a revelation to all. A young qualifier aptly summed up saying “Participating in Jagriti 2011 is indeed an eye opener.”Another one chipped in cheekishily, “I hope , I am able to convince my dad to quit smoking as well as chewing tobacco.”
The finals are all set to be hosted at Select CityWalk, Saket on 7th May 2011, 5:00 pm onwards. The finalists will present their anti-tobacco ideas guised as skits, dance and drama performances.
Jagriti 2011 is just an indicator of the fact that today’s youth is eager to join the cause against tobacco sincerely and intelligently.
Dr. Vipul Sud, President CCF says, “it is heartening to see the next generation is sensitive towards tobacco and its after effects. Yes, their innocence and selfless pleas can help organizations like us to fight against tobacco more effectively.
