Event Details : Akshara Theatre presents Happy Birthday rabindranath, an evening of poetry and film dedicated to Rabindranath Tagore.

The evening starts with an invocation from Gitanjali, performed by Jalabala Vaidya. Next, students of the Akshara Theatre’s Diksha programme of Training in Indian Classicism will perform a selection of poems from the The Crescent Moon. Finally, there will be a screening of Gopal Sharman’s 30-minute film The Cabuliwala, based on Tagore's story, starring Jalabala Vaidya, Sir Rob Young, Niroop, Meera and Yashna Shetty as Mini.
