Event Details : The 9th of April was a historic day in India when the will of the people to end corruption manifested in nation wide protests under the guidance of the gandhian Anna Hazare and finally forced the government to constitute a committee to draft a strong anti corruption law - The Jan Lokpal Bill.
However this is only the first step in a long and difficult fight ahead for the citizens of India to eradicate corruption from our society.
It is important that we show that the people are still watching and that we want the law to be passed soon. Therefore on 1st of May, 2011 we have planned a flag march from Jantar Mantar to India Gate which will culminate with lighting of candles near the Amar Jawan Jyoti.
We request you to be present there at Jantar Mantar at 5pm on 1st of May, 2011 to show the government your continued support for the The Jan Lokpal Bill.
