The novelists Carlos Fuentes, the directors Carlos Velo and the producers Manuel Barbachano Ponce, as adapters of the novel by Juan Rulfo, this symbolic and allegoric drama narrates the story of Juan Preciado, who, walking through the Jalisco mountains, arrives at Comala looking for his father, Pedro Páramo, to demand what is rightfully his, due to a promise given to his mother on her death bed. What Preciado is not expecting is that Comala seems like a town deserted and in ruins, where the dead and the ghosts never stay still. A town where three women will guide the foreigner, during the night, through a mazes of reminiscences.
