Event Details : Yamaha Music India presents a Piano Concert by Mr Susumu Aoyagi.
Susumu Aoyagi started piano lessons at the age of five. He made his orchestral debut with the Fort Worth Symphony, conducted by John Giordano at the age of nine. He became the winner of the Japan National Music Competition for students, followed by receiving the West Japan Music Award.
Aoyagi is a winner of the Marguerite Long Jacques Thibauld International Competition 1992 (Paris) and has also received first prizes at numerous International Competitions including the Alfredo Casella, Ennio Porrino in Italy and the Jaen in Spain.
He has made Orchestral and Solo appearances throughout Germany, France, the United States, Finland, the Czech Republic, Spain, Italy and Japan.
After receiving the 28th Chopin Society Awards of Japan in April 2002, he has made numerous appearances through Japan and has performed with various important orchestras.
Each of his five Solo CD recordings has been highly acclaimed. He has studied with teachers such as Yuko Fujimura, Fujiko Yamada, Lili Kraus, Klaus Hellwig and Pascal Devoyon.
Since 2001, he has been appointed Associate Professor of Piano at the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music (GEIDAI).
