Event Details : Photography exhibition CUBA MÍA by Rodrigo Moya.
Memory. Archive. Testimony. Historical Representation. Those are the words that introduce the photography exhibition Cuba Mía or My Cuba, by the Mexican photographer Rodrigo Moya.
Cuba Mía takes us to the initial years of a spectacular revolution through the images that Rodrigo Moya clicked during the summer of 1964. This archive of Casa de la América en Catalunya in Barcelona came in to the public eye for the first time 2009 after remaining inedited for forty five years. This collection of almost eighty photographs display a wide variety of themes like education, employment, dance and music, el Che, force or commerce, some thing that converts the exhibition into a visual and thematic route through that
emblematic Cuba of the beginning of the Revolution- the Cuba of the series of “the melancholic Ché Guevara”.
