Event Details : Banyan Tree presents Teen Prahar, our annual showcase of a plethora of traditional Indian musical forms including classical, folk and mystic genres.

Taal India a vibrant percussion ensemble of folk & classical drums from across India lead by Anubrata Chatterjee with Manjoor Khan, Devu Khan from Rajasthan, Satyajit Jamsandekar from Maharashtra, P. Nandakumar, P. Harish, K. Vineesh from Kerala, M. Nongyai Singh, N. Manao Singh, S. Nanao Singh from Manipur, Gagan Singh Bais from Punjab.
Madhup Mudgal (Vocals).
Ustad Shujaat Khan (Sitar) in a jugalbandi with Shashank (Flute).
Accompanied by : Vinay Mishra (Harmonium), Shambhunath Bhattacharya (Tabla), Anubrata Chatterjee (Tabla) & Sai Giridhar (Mridangam)
Background : The Teen Prahar festival was conceived by Banyan Tree Events in 2006 with the very intention to give music lovers across India an opportunity to enjoy a rare musical treat of unheard Raagas of various time zones of the day.
This festival has been jointly presented by the Birla Sun Life Insurance Company and Banyan Tree thanks to the enduring vision of the former to support our traditional performing arts coupled with the experienced and commitment of Banyan Tree towards this cause for the past 14 years.
Having received overwhelming responses in Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata, the Teen Prahar festival is evolving into a national Indian Classical music festival. The musical brilliance, the masterful rendering and vibrant performances by these musicians in interesting combinations of solos, jugalbandis & ensembles both vocal & instrumental will make this festival truly an unforgettable and enjoyable experience.
