2) If a girl/ woman is a part of the group, she is requested to dress

in an India suit, or jeans with a full sleeved top. This is to ensure

safety.

3) It is prohibited to give money to any children seen on the streets.

Blanket focused Walk on 21st November : many people in Delhi do not have extra blankets, or even one. We cannot provide blankets to everyone in need, but we urgently want to provide for the children that have become close to our hearts at the Outdoor Day Care Centre in Jama Masjid and also to those homeless people living on the streets nearby. We are concerned about their well-being through these winter nights and want to give one blanket per person.

Now we are turning to you for your financial aid.

We would like to buy 500 blankets each costing about 200/-. Thus we need a total of 1,00,000/-.

We have already received INR 50,000 from Parul Sharma, a long associate of Jamghat and her Swedish friends and another INR 10,000 from individual donors and now we are looking forward for the same from you.

This is an urgent request, so please, if you can spare some money or even donate a blanket or some warm clothes , please let us know immediately.

The  plan is to conduct a Blanket focused Nightwalk on 21st Nov 09 .  Each participant will carry several blankets and when we see someone sleeping with no cover, we will lay the blanket over them.  An invisible donation to those that truly need it.

This Nightwalk will start at 8pm and go until we are finished, likely around midnight. We will meet at Golcha Cinema , Dariyaganj. If you can join us please call Amit.

Hopefully some of you can come, as we will need many hands to carry lots of blankets!

Walk Introduction : The Jamghat coordinators, which will include one child from the Jamghat institutional residential care, will encourage a round of introduction with the group. Before starting on a 5.5 km walk, the
