Event Details : Akshara Theatre presents a 9-day festival of Indias Gift to Broadway (NY Times) Gopal Sharmans theatre, music, poetry, film and design art to celebrate his 75th birthday.
An exhibition of Gopals books, sculpture, woodwork, architectural designs, posters and advertisements will be accompanied by short staged excerpts from his theatre and music pieces, followed by a film screening. Theatrical and musical works will be excerpted from The Ramayana, Tyger Tyger, Jabberwocky, Isha and Full Circle. Films to be screened include My Life Is My Song, Two and Two, Geetanjali and Music Alive.
