Event Details : An Exhibition of Paintings by Sandhya Singh.
Sandhya Singh has been creating music on canvas for some time now with élan and considerable success, providing her unique feminine touch to a sensitive yet a difficult subject . More of that a little later. But before that, the basics;
The base or heart of all music is sound (Naad). Without sound there is no music. (At least till we saw Sandhya’s works!) The Indian civilization pays a tribute to Naad by calling itself “Samadaan” – a civilization that is vocal (through chant and choir). Bhajans, Kirtans and Mantrocharans are part and parcel of not only a vocal faith but also of a resounding composite culture.
