Event Description: Matter Meets Meaning
Bhavkala Collective 2.0, in collaboration with Knowledge Center and REPLACI, presents Matter Meets Meaning on 25–26 September 2026 at 3rd Floor, M3M Broadway, Sector 71, Gurugram.
Curated by Sonakshi Agarwal, Founder & Curatorial Lead of Bhavkala, the exhibition explores the intersection of contemporary art, architectural materials and spatial design.
The exhibition brings together 60+ original contemporary artworks of 18+ artists within the Knowledge Center, an active spatial-design environment with 120+ architectural material brands. It brings three different ecosystems together: Bhavkala brings the independent artist community and curates the exhibition; Knowledge Center provides the material and design environment; and REPLACI brings spatial intelligence and visualisation, allowing artworks to be imagined within interior spaces.
It brings together artists from varied professional backgrounds, including law, public health, technology, education, HR, visual effects and the arts.
As part of its outreach, Bhavkala has sent 300+ physical invitations to architects and interior designers across Delhi NCR, containing a Bhavkala newspaper featuring the participating artists. The initiative is an effort to introduce the artists and the exhibition personally, beyond conventional email and digital outreach.
The two-day programme includes open gallery viewing from 10 AM–7 PM, an official preview and discussion on 25 September at 4 PM, featuring Georgina Maddox, Kirpa Kaur Channa and Priyanka M. Dhingra and on 26 September AAFT Fine Arts Department walkthrough, and Open Mic 3 PM with music, poetry and spoken word, and an artist recognition programme on.
Matter Meets Meaning looks at art not only as something to be displayed, but as part of the spaces people design, live and work in—bringing artists, architects, interior designers, materials and spatial visualisation into one conversation.
