Event Description: The Spring Summer saree Ehsaas curated by Manisha Gawade. 

This exhibition celebrates the birth anniversary of its founder Dr. Alka Raghuvanshi and her love for sarees. 

She was not only a pioneer in the bringing art onto the six yards drape but also a responsible curator and designer she started the handloom saree movement at various levels. 

After her demise in May last year her sister, artist and curator continues to be the torch bearer of the legacy Dr. Raghuvanshi leaves behind. 

Ehsaas- Alka’s life and dream continues to weave this beautiful tana- bana as Ehsaas brings to you an amalgamation of the various weaves of India. 

In this exhibition we will revisit some of the popular spring- summer sarees from Chanderi- Madhya Pradesh, Kuchh- Gujarat, Telengana, Patan- Gujarat and Kota- Rajasthan through their historical journeys.
