Event Description: Beyond Limits-2021, the annual art exhibition has been organised by Family Of Disabled (FOD). The exhibition showcasing over 100 exclusive original artworks by 66 artists from all across India- Assam, Delhi, Jammu, Tamil Nadu, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Haryana, Punjab, Maharashtra, etc.

Beyond Limits 2021, offering a humongous variety of art under one roof. It is a treat for art connoisseurs and aficionados. Beyond Limits is the only platform available to these professionally qualified artists who because of their disabilities are unable to compete with their non-disabled counterparts but their incompetency is limited only till marketing for their talent knows no limitation. Must visit to witness exquisite artworks- sculptures in bronze & fiber, assemblage, canvas & paper coming to life with water, oil & acrylic colours, mixed media, collage work, woodcut & leather. 

With a belief that art is a medium to give creative expression to one’s inner feelings and the world one sees around, FOD introduced Beyond Limits in 2001 and have benefited numerous disabled artists in reaching out to people with their imagination and creativity. This platform also provides financial support, public recognition and appreciation to the participating artists.

Preeti Johar, FOD, says, “We do not promote artists on charitable grounds. Only good quality artworks are displayed in the exhibition so that people don’t buy once for charity but visit the annual exhibition every year to own good quality art. The sale proceeds go to the artists motivating them further to reach greater heights.”

About Family of Disabled (FOD)

FOD was founded in 1992 by Rajinder Johar, after he became quadriplegic (paralysis of all four limbs) sustaining an injury to his spinal cord. It caters to the pressing needs of people with disabilities by offering them those facilities which hitherto have been non-existent. The majority of the programmes are targeted at those people who cannot afford to sustain themselves on their own- Providing self-employment, sponsoring education, providing assistive devices to aid their daily living, etc

FOD was also featured in Satyamev Jayate in their programme highlighting disability issues. It is running a multi-purpose rehabilitation Centre- Unnati for people with disabilities offering training in IT, cutting & tailoring, upcycling, etc.
