Event Description: MUSIC: Soham Mallick

Soham Mallick is the frontman of the Indie Rock n Roll band Moongphali. Based in Delhi, Soham started off as a singer-songwriter back in 2011. His band Moongphali is striving to be the first-ever Hindi rock n roll band in the country. Soham, with Moongphali, has already played more than 500 gigs all over the country in the three years that the band came together. The band has released its first album and is currently working on the second one. Besides Moongphali, Soham has been working on his solo EP which would be in English and would have 5 songs. It is due for release in 2019 and encompasses his own sound and compositions. Trained by the legendary jazz musician Vasundhara Vee and veteran Classical singer Shri Shantimoy Mukhopadhyay, Soham has been a finalist at the Hornbill International Music Festival in 2018 with Moongphali. With guitar as his primary instrument, Soham also plays the piano and the harmonica. His debut EP will have songs written, composed and arranged by him.
