Event Description : DANCE : International Ballet & Contemporary Dance Festival
Hosting the first ever International Ballet & Contemporary Dance Festival in India, Elan Ballet (India) and Arte Italia (Italy) join hands in an endeavor to bridge the gap between India and the rest of the world in the field of dance.
International artists from Japan & Italy will perform along with Ballet & Contemporary dancers from India. The performance will also feature pieces in Jazz and Gymnastics along with a Ballet piece by our little dancers from the age of 5 upwards.
Artists will perform from the following companies:
1. Elan Ballet, India
2. Arte Italia, Italy
3. Iwata Ballet Academy, Japan
4. Equilibrio Dinamico Company, Italy

Host Company: Elan Ballet
Elan Ballet, launched in May 2017, is a company that has its dance studio located in RK Puram, New Delhi.
Its Artistic Director Ms. Ritika Chandra has been trained extensively in ballet both in India and abroad. Her international training comes from prestigious academies in the United States of America namely The Kirov Academy of Ballet, Washington Ballet, Cincinnati Ballet & Tevlin Ballet. She has also acquired training from schools in Moscow & St. Petersburg, Russia.
Objectives: Since training in ballet provides a strong foundation for all dance forms, the company aims at providing not only a base for budding and professional ballet dancers, but for other artists as well so as to achieve new heights in their respective dance forms. The constant objective at Elan Ballet is to try and change the mind set of ballet dancers in India from merely wanting a certification course to actually looking for years of foundation training. The training programmes along with performance opportunities at the company are of the highest standards, through collaborations with prestigious faculty both nationally and internationally. The company also provides support to exceptionally talented dancers to audition with companies abroad and/or to apply for scholarships for further training.
