Note : None of the events are ticketed. Studio Safdar is unable to pay anything to the artists who enrich our lives, unless you contribute. We’ll spread the chadar at the end of the performance. These contributions will be shared 50:50 with the artists.

About the plays :
A Date is a mime performance using clowning. It is about a day in the life of a boy and a girl. They meet an accident, quite literally and the accident becomes a date.

Tigdam adapted from “The Three Children of Fortune” by Brothers Grimm is presented in nautanki style. It is a tale of three sons in search of their fortune, with the help of three gifts given to them by their unfortunate fathers. The three gifts are as unusual as a rooster, a sickle and a cat. The story travels to three different villages and follows the three sons and their hopes. The narrative revolves around how superstition kills the rising hopes of these men.

About the group : The Mirror Theater Group is an initiative of the Kutumb Foundation which uses theater and drama for enhanced learning of language and concepts. It was formed after the successful commencement of Hilley Ley ! (2012) An annual theater cum cultural festival of the Kutumb Foundation. It works through play adaptation and discussion, our young participants reflect and explore human values in the backdrop of the current socio-cultural landscape. TMTG is a peer leader run group which works with adolescents and organisations also.
