CMS VATAVARAN International Environment & Wildlife Film Festival and Forum:

CMS VATAVARAN is a 14 years old India’s premiere green film festival started in 2002. Festival aims to bring to the fore larger environmental concerns through films. It attempts to forge a dialogue and generate timely debate on the topical environmental issues involving the larger public.

Today, CMS VATAVARAN festival has become one of the most prestigious film festivals across the globe and has successfully positioned India as a vibrant destination for environment and wildlife filmmaking. 50 countries participate in this festival by submitting their film entries in competitive editions. International filmmakers, speakers and delegates participate in this festival. This festival runs biennially. All the odd years of calendar are competitive editions and even years are travelling editions. CMS VATAVARAN has now become a movement and inspires many organisations and individuals to use films and film festivals as a medium to catalyse change.

Objectives of the festival:
·         Encourage Films for perception and policy change
·         Interpret conservation message through films
·         Promote Environment News in the Media
·         A platform to bring together multiple stakeholders …
·         Encourage production of green films

To achieve our objectives, film screenings are one of the important component among the society. So every month we organise film screenings at IHC - India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.
