The Japan Foundation, New Delhi proudly presented the traditional dance collaboration project which had five traditional dancers from Japan and along with dancers and musicians from India. The artists have worked together in Delhi to create new performance pieces and presented in front of audience.
The event started with the Japanese traditional dancers performing namely Nishikawa Minosuke, Hanayagi Juraku, Hanayagi Motoi, Fujima Rankoh and Yamamura Tomogoro  and was joined by Kathak dancers – Sangita Chaterjee and her troupe of four artists along with Indian Musicians – Fateh Ali on Sitar and Amaan Ali on tabla from India.

In GOYOKAI project, all of five renowned dancers – full of passion for Nihon Buyo - seek to inspire audiences with the artistic excellence of Japanese Dance. The variety of dance styles manifested by the different major schools promises to make this project a unique and exciting experience, even for people who are new to Japanese performing arts.

Japan’s Ambassador’s to India Mr. Kenji Hiramatsu along with his family attended the event and addressed the audience after the event got over.
