Event Description : THEATRE : Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) presents 2nd International Ramayana Festival-2016.

Every presentation of the epic, Ramayana, is recognition of its contemporaneity, its many levels of inspiration and symbolism. The ideas and ideals of the Ramayana flower in a myriad formats. Reinterpreted ceaselessly by the creative genius of the artist and storyteller, the Ramayana traversed across centuries, countries, cultures, languages and art forms. Forever transmuted in the alchemy of human emotion and expression, it is found from China to Cambodia to the Caribbean, from the slient recesses of the human soul to the staccato wisdom of the wooden puppet. ICCR presents a glimpse of this magical alchemy with troupes from five Asian countries.
