Shashank Subramanyam is a Grammy nominated renowned exponent of the Bamboo Flute and specialises in Indian Classical.  With over 30 years in the field of Indian Classical Music, Shashank’s landmark concerts include Rashtrapathi Bhavan (The President's Palace at New Delhi) in 1992, Skopje Jazz Festival – Macedonia, Copenhagen Jazz Festival – Denmark among others.

Background :  The Park’s New Festival, India’s only National Contemporary Arts Festival, that has brought together - enchanting music, lyrical dance, dramatic visual art and enthralling theatrical performances is celebrating its decadal year from 02nd Sept to 22nd Sept, 2016 across six cities.
The Park Hotels and Prakriti Foundation conceptualized and curated The Park’s New Festival in 2007. The festival aims to deepen the relationship with emerging art scenario in the country. To be held across 6 cities over a period of almost a month, the festival brings together acclaimed artists from all over the world, putting together excellent pieces of engaging acts and look forward to entertain the discerning audience.
The ten editions of the cultural rendezvous have laid about 50 performances from local as well as acclaimed international artists for more than 1,00,000 culturati.
